Here at Victory Mounds, we are committed to providing the highest quality products and services to meet your baseball needs. In this post, we wanted to go into detail about how Hack Attack Pitching Machine can improve your team’s batting practice.
Pitching machines have sometimes been frustrating for coaches. We have all had the times when it takes valuable practice time to get the machine to throw the ball into the strike zone. Other times a hitter may have trouble timing up the machine because the ball sticks coming out, or it is hard to see the ball coming out of the machine. Another issue may be that your pitching machine only throws fastballs. This means batting practice is not game realistic or challenging for the hitter because there is no off-speed.
The Hack Attack Pitching Machine has really solved all these problems. We offer four Hack Attack models, the first of which is the Base Model which we will talk about in this post. The Hack Attack comes with a unique three-wheel design. This is called their Vision Complete design because it allows the batter to see the ball better through the whole process of feeding and acceleration to the plate. When a batter is looking at the machine from the plate, they have a clear sightline to the pitcher feeding the ball. There is little to no obstruction through the whole process. With many other typical pitching machines, it is much harder to see the ball all the way from the feeder’s hand to the plate. This makes it more difficult to get a proper load and rhythm. With the Hack Attack, batters get the most realistic pitching machine experience.
HACK ATTACK DESIGN AND SETTINGS
The three-wheel design also allows for greater control and accuracy. With three points of contact instead of two, the ball is less likely to slip through, giving a much more accurate pitch. Once you dial up the pitch and location you want, it should deliver the pitch how and where you want each time.
This machine is also extremely efficient. With the three-wheel design, you simply adjust the dials to change the pitch breaking plane, allowing you to easily move between pitches without adjusting the head. The machine comes with 7 preset pitches at two different levels: Youth and High School/College/Pro. The pitches available are 1) Fastball: Right-Handed, 2) Fastball: Left-Handed, 3) Curveball: Right-Handed, 4) Curveball: Left-Handed, 5) Slider, 6) Split Finger, and 7) Knuckleball. There are three dials on the machine and each pitch has a specific combination of numbers each dial must be turned to. Each pitch dial setting can also be turn up or down 1 level, depending on distance and skill of batter. Gone are the days of manually adjusting the machine to switch between pitches. With the Hack Attack Base Model, switching between pitches is as easy as turning a dial, allowing more efficient practice time.
The main difference between the two modes (Youth and High School/College/Pro) is the speed of the pitch. Obviously, for Youth the pitching machine will be closer to the batter and the speed is turned lower. For High School/College/Pro, the machine will likely be further away and the speed will be much faster. Switching between these settings is easy; you will simply need to adjust the dials mentioned above and up the speed. There is no longer a need for two machines. The Hack Attack Pitching Machine is great for any level of player. And the Hack Attack can really bring it!! This machine can simulate the hardest throwing pitchers you will face at any level. Gone are the days where you bring in a JV pitcher to throw 45′ feet away to simulate a hard-throwing opposing pitcher.
Everything about this pitching machine makes it easy to use. The three-wheel design makes the ball easier to see for the batter, makes pitches more controlled and accurate, and makes it easy to switch speeds and pitches. It is also extremely durable. The Hack Attack is considered one of the best pitching machines on the market for a reason.
